Storm Damaged Bedroom in Glendale

The driving rainstorm pushed water through the opened window and deposited sufficient water to ruin the drywall and the carpeting. The inch of water soaked the fibrous floor covering and the pad and wicked up into the drywall. Fortunately, no electrical issues developed from this invading water. We tore out the flooring materials and then cut out and discarded a 2-foot high section of destroyed wall material. We used industrial grade equipment, manned by our SERVPRO water damage restoration specialists, to extract all the standing water and residual moisture. The equipment was taken out upon complete drying, and new insulation was stuffed into the open cavity before we sent in a rebuild technician to close up the wall.
